Fourty five students of agricultural secondary schools from Zrenjanin, Sombor and Futog will get Delta Holding scholarships starting from this year within program “Fund for Future”. This 10th generation of grant users attended the grand reception in Delta Holding business premises in Belgrade.
“I enrolled the agricultural school because my family deals with agriculture and I wanted to acquire knowledge which would enable me to help them and to improve our household”, said grant user Jovana Vidaković.
“It is my pleasure to see young people who have chosen agriculture as their vocation and who will, with our support, become part of modern, efficient, intensive and profitable agricultural production needed by Serbia. It can be achieved only with high technology and well-educated and motivated people as we have in Delta Agrar. Tomorrow you will be like them”, said Delta Agrar Director Ivan Kostić.
Program “Fund for Future” has lasted for two years and includes: a monthly amount of 10.000 dinars, theoretical business training and professional practice at Delta estates in Čelarevo, Apatin and Kikinda. After they complete the program, the grant users will also have the opportunity to be employed in Delta Agrar.
“Our students will be able to acquire practical experience which cannot be provided by the school. The scholarship will motivate them to learn better and that is why the program has multiple importance”, said Principal of Agricultural School in Zrenjanin Milica Tomin Damnjanović.
This is the first school year with the revised program “Fund for Future”. So far the program has been completed by 264 young people without parental care, from social protection institutions. From now on Delta Holding will focus the program on students of secondary agricultural schools because it sees modern and efficient agriculture as one of its most important business operations in the forthcoming years. Delta Agrar experts will pass heir knowledge on to students and future young farmers with the aim of enabling them to improve business standards in this field and ensure a perspective future for themselves.
