Delta Holding’s project Our Village won The Virtus Philanthropy Award in the category of the most innovative project.

The Virtus Award was established by the Trag Foundation in 2007, with the aim of recognizing companies and citizens whose strategic and long-term philanthropic activities contribute to the development of the community, and under the slogan – Let the good not remain hidden.

Delta Holding’s project Our Village was designed and implemented in the company itself, with the support of partners who joined it. The company selected two villages in the Zajecar district, in which the modernization of agriculture, education of the population for modern agricultural production, as well as public and cultural life were initiated. Delta Agrar experts have held numerous lectures and regularly advise producers on modern agricultural production in these villages. The modernization of the property was possible with the loans provided by Erste Bank, and the interest was taken over by Delta Agrar. As part of the return of public and cultural life, numerous events, workshops and New Year’s celebrations were organized, and the most important action was the renovation of school buildings in both places.

The villages of Mala Jasikova and Dubočane in the vicinity of Zaječar have been in the project since 2018, and Delta Holding plans to expand the project in one of the other regions of Serbia this year.
